Monique Jansen

For, as long as I can remember, I have been painting and drawing. In my teenage years I took classes and learned how to paint still life, portraits and people. Art school, a few years later, gave me the chance to develop my own style. Photography was a required subject in the fine arts degree program and I slowly but surely grew to love taking photos.

Now, many years later, one couldn't exist without the other. I look at the world around me as a photographer and a painter and use whatever makes an impression on me in my photos, paintings and drawings.
